Account data (your email address and subscription status), the content you create (conversations, companion settings, saved memories, scenarios, and generated images), and minimal operational data (usage counts for quotas, safety classifications, and technical logs needed to run the service).
Conversations and images are processed by AI models that we host on our own infrastructure. Your chat content is not sent to third-party AI providers, is not used to train third-party models, and is never sold. Companion “memories” are stored so your companion can recall them in future conversations — and every memory is visible, editable, and deletable by you in the app. Private mode disables memory reads and writes for a conversation.
Subscription payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We never receive or store your full card details. The processor's own privacy policy governs the payment data you provide to them.
Your content is retained until you delete it. You can delete individual memories, conversations, or companions in the app, export everything you have created as JSON, or permanently delete your account data from the privacy page — these controls remain available even if your subscription has lapsed.
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except: our payment processor (billing status only), and where required by law. Your conversations stay on our servers.
Emberlight is an 18+ service and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. Accounts believed to belong to minors are removed.
